Risha Ruano-Zin

MA, NCC, LMHC, CCTP-II, EMDR, and Flash Trained, Founder and Director of Healing Gardens Counseling Center

I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor who has been passionate about helping others overcome mental health challenges for the last 10 years. While I worked as a student educator through my undergraduate studies, I saw the impact unprocessed trauma, as well as untreated mental health issues, had on someone’s day-to-day life. It was this experience that led me to seek a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana Wesleyan University. I am fueled by my passion to help others heal from unprocessed mental health wounds that prevent people from living an authentic life.

  • Because you are the ultimate expert on yourself, I believe you hold the answers to your troubles. My job is to help each client work through the barriers that are keeping them from reaching those answers. By walking alongside you, I will offer what I know and create space to collaborate with you on what path of treatment is best for you.

As a certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I strive to offer the most up-to-date treatment modalities to provide effective and efficient care. I approach clinical issues with a humanistic mindset as well as a neurobiological practice. I am trained in EMDR and Flash Technique, two treatment methods that help you move through difficult memories and current issues in an effective amount of time.

Janelle Ohlemiller

AM, LCSW, PMH-C, EMDR Trained

I have served as a therapist since 2019. While working as a hospice social worker, I saw the pain of unprocessed trauma and unaddressed attachment issues in my patients and their caregivers, and I learned the power of compassion and connection to bind up and heal those wounds. I transitioned into practicing therapy with adults and teenagers as a result of that experience, and I have dedicated myself to facilitating the healing of individuals whose renewal ripples outward through their families and communities. In addition to treating general mental health difficulties, I specialize in addressing trauma, perinatal/postpartum concerns for either parent, grief, and managing transitional seasons of life.

  • My practice is person-centered, which means I respect your pace, needs, and goals, and I delight in building upon your unique strengths. I focus on creating and holding a secure, nonjudgmental space by being compassionate and authentic. I will walk with you, follow your lead, and add a helping hand or a new perspective when needed. I strive to see each person as a whole, and I am experienced in discussing spiritual concerns when clients express a desire to incorporate them into treatment.

I am trained in EMDR and narrative techniques, both of which facilitate reprocessing painful or traumatic memories and current difficulties. I am a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Care Provider, and I have been trained in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, an evidence-based approach that addresses the unique stressors and interpersonal dynamics of parenting, perinatal loss, infertility, and other role transitions.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
